WHAT'S NEW?

 Let’s make a Fringe Festival!

FringeNYC logo

You are invited to participate in FringeNYC’s Blank Canvas Project Convening for Dance/Physical Theater/Performance Art. FringeNYC wants to learn more about Dance/Movement artists’ vision for sustainable shared-presentation of your work in New York City. FringeNYC’s Blank Canvas Project convenings are a chance to gather in person to discuss a particular aspect of envisioning how to build the best possible fringe festival for New York City. http://fringenyc.org/

Who: You! Be Heard! Especially if you are interested in potentially submitting for performance opportunities in 2018

Moderator: Eva Dean, Artistic Director, Union Street Dance

Inspirational Speaker/Listener: Elena K. Holy, Producing Artistic Director, FringeNYC

When: June 14, 2017 (Wednesday) 6:30-8pm

Where: Union Street Dance, 725 Union Street, Brooklyn, NY (Ring Buzzer #5)

*Free* (Light refreshments will be served) RSVPThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We welcome your ideas and feedback! Below are several questions to help spearhead our dialogue:
How do you as an artist decide which festivals to submit work to?
In your past experience how has organizational support of presenting at FringeNYC matched/or not matched the needs of your work?
What unique needs does dance/movement work require in a festival setting?
